So what the hell is our story?!

At WE'RE CREATURES we make pocket perfumes inspired by illustrations of mischievous little creatures.
Why creatures, you ask?

If we were the sentimental type, we'd tell you that we're all a bit of a creature. Imperfect, gloriously so, and that we bottled these scents to remind you to lean into whatever strange thing you happen to be, flaws generously included.

Luckily we're not the sentimental type. So forget all that, and brace yourself for a frankly unreasonable fragrance experience that carries your imagination far, far away from whatever is currently happening on this planet.

A perfume brand? Have I lost it?!

I'm Nitzan, and for most of my life perfume felt like something that happened to other people. Honestly, I didn't get it.

Coming from a family with noses like tripwires, fragrance mostly meant that one person who steps into an elevator and quietly declares chemical warfare on everyone inside.

The ads didn't help either: models emerging heroically from the sea, or whispering something in French that I'm fairly sure meant nothing.

Then, about six years ago, something unexpected happened.

Shortly after my wife and I got engaged, her friend Manu (a French perfumer with an alarming amount of style) called to congratulate us, and offered to compose a scent for us to hand out at the wedding.

Something in me switched on, and the curiosity refused to switch back off.

I started making tiny pocket-perfume projects with ridiculous slogans as gifts.

I discovered the artistic, genuinely fun side of scent, and unisex fragrances that felt different and a little strange in the best possible way.

From there grew the urge to bring something new to a very serious industry.

The journey to build WE'RE CREATURES started from a simple wish: to have fun, drag my creativity to the edge, and make this whole world friendly and human.

Together with Manu, and with Mark, the wildly talented illustrator, we distilled our first collection: three delicate, peculiar scents, each one a creature drawn into existence.

We got emotional messages from every kind of person, from fragrance obsessives to people who'd never bought a perfume in their lives but fell for the design, the attitude and the scents.

I like daydreaming about improbable ideas, and I work embarrassingly hard to make them real.

I hope our little box gives you a small pocket of air, and a moment of escape from the beautiful chaos of being alive.
